Arad Naveh Arad is a partner at Benchmark Capital Israel and a board member at CTERA. Arad has extensive operating and venture capital experience in both Silicon Valley and Israel. Arad's Investment interests include Enterprise S/W, Digital Media, Networking and Internet Infrastructure. Prior to joining Benchmark, Arad was a director of business development at Cisco, where he was responsible for investment and M&A activity in Israel. Before Cisco, Arad was the founder and CEO of Class Data, which was acquired by Cisco in May 1998.
Arad's investments include Broadlight, Compass Networks, Cotendo, CTERA Networks, Finjan Software (acquired by M86), Metacafe, Oplus Technologies (acquired by Intel), OpTun (acquired by NeoPhotonics), Panaya, Sentrigo (acuired by McAfee), Skybox Security, Wilocity, and Xeround. Arad holds a BSc Cum Laude in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the Ben Gurion University in Israel. |

Ray Rothrock Ray is a partner at Venrock and a board member at CTERA. Ray’s areas of investment expertise include energy, information technology infrastructure and cyber security. He led Venrock’s Internet investment strategy beginning in 1992 and in 2004, initiated the firm’s energy investment strategy. Ray’s successful investments include Check Point Software Technology (NASDAQ: CHKP), the world leader in Internet security where he continues on its Board of Directors; DoubleClick (NASDAQ: DCLK) subsequently acquired; Spyglass (NASDAQ: SPYG), subsequently acquired; Digex, Inc. (NASDAQ: DIGX) subsequently acquired; and scores of others Ray is a director of the National Venture Capital Association and chair-elect for the 2012-13 term. He currently serves on the Visiting Committee of the MIT Nuclear Science and Engineering Department and the Board of Woodside Priory School.Ray earned his B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University, an S.M. in Nuclear Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School.

Liran Eshel Liran is CEO and co-founder of CTERA. He brings to CTERA more than 18 years of IT managerial experience. Prior to founding CTERA, Liran was CEO of SofaWare Technologies, which was acquired by Check Point Software Technologies. He led the company over a period of 8 years from early incubation to market leadership in the low-end network security appliance segment, partnering with the likes of Nokia, D-Link and Toshiba. Previously, Liran served as an officer in an elite technological unit of the Israel Defense Forces managing various R&D teams and in 2000 won Israel’s prestigious National Defense Award. Liran holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science and a M.Sc. in Computer Science from Bar-Ilan University. |

Zohar Kaufman Zohar is VP of R&D and co-founder of CTERA and is responsible for CTERA’s technology and product development. His extensive technology experience spans 18 years of managing software, networking and embedded systems development teams. Zohar was previously VP of R&D at SofaWare technologies where he led all R&D activities and developed the Safe@Office and UTM-1 Edge product lines for SMB’s and enterprise branch offices, winning multiple industry awards and chosen by the world’s largest financial organizations for mission critical applications.
Prior to SofaWare, Zohar was an officer in an elite technology unit of the Israel Defense Forces and managed several R&D teams. Zohar holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science summa cum laude and an MBA in Finance and Marketing with honors from Tel-Aviv University. |
