Building on Success: A Vision for CTERA in 2025

As we close out the year, I’m excited to share that I’ve joined the CTERA team as SVP of Marketing. I’m impressed by everything the organization has achieved in 2024, from introducing better proactive data management to solutions that drive more efficient generative AI. It is a privilege to step into this role.

My days in storage go back to early 2003 when I joined a small start-up called EqualLogic (acquired by Dell Technologies in 2007). The product was a hardware array that introduced ISCI to the datacenter, disrupting the legacy fibre channel market and I have remained connected to storage over the past 20+ years. While there have been incredible advances in tech capabilities, the challenges that I saw enterprises facing back then are very similar to those they see ahead of them today.

When it comes to strategic technology purchases, the market first needs to understand ROI. One of the most common barriers to transformation within enterprises is getting all stakeholders to become project supporters. One of the most successful ways to do that is to demonstrate how the proposed infrastructure change will lower their total cost of doing business and/or create efficiencies within their organization in a way that will result in a competitive market advantage.

Leaders know they need to continue to evolve their business to remain relevant. But evolving around an organization’s most critical asset – its data – is easier said than done, and the risk tolerance for data loss or downtime remains virtually non-existent.

With future market projections of global cloud storage going from 132.03 billion in 2024 to 639.4 billion by 2032, CTERA is well positioned to be the leader in the hybrid cloud storage market as noted by the most recent GigaOm, Gartner, and Coldago Research reports.

This past year, CTERA’s industry presence has been impressive. From launching campaigns that spotlighted CTERA’s hybrid cloud data platform’s services to organizing events that connected it with key industry leaders, the marketing team has strengthened the brand and driven excellent business results.

As I take on this role, my focus is on amplifying this impact and fostering even deeper connections with our customers and partners.

Here’s Where I See Exciting Opportunities Ahead:

  1. Highlighting Customer Success: We’ll continue showcasing how our solutions drive real results for enterprises that include significant cost savings while enabling organizations to scale with ease.
  2. Expanding Thought Leadership: We’ll boost our participation in industry conversations around enterprise data management, cybersecurity, and cloud transformation, including more insights from key CTERA executives.
  3. Global Brand Growth: We’ll broaden CTERA’s global reach through strategic campaigns, deeper partnerships, and impactful industry events.

A Shared Journey

I’m truly honored to be part of such a passionate and innovative team. The talent, dedication, and creativity I’ve seen at CTERA are incredible. And I can’t wait to build on the impressive successes that the team has already garnered and to help our customers continue to evolve their organizations for success.
