Late last month we had the pleasure of co-hosting a webinar with our friends at AWS that focused on our joint deployment with The Carlyle Group. Carlyle, one of the world’s largest private equity firms, uses CTERA and AWS for secure cloud-enabled file sharing and collaboration across offices and users, as well as for business continuity initiatives across all global locations.
Jennifer Gold, Associate Vice President of Global Technology & Solutions for The Carlyle Group, provided a first-hand account of Carlyle’s selection process and criteria; how CTERA and AWS passed a rigorous security audit by the Carlyle IT team; and how Carlyle made significant TCO reductions as a result of replacing various legacy IT point solutions with a modern, cloud-based platform from CTERA and AWS. AWS solution engineer Mike Ruiz and CTERA chief architect Saimon Michelson also provided insights in the webinar, which had a very large turnout from the enterprise IT community and a very active Q+A session.
(The Carlyle Group centrally manages three regions under a single platform, while ensuring each region’s data stayed in-region with CTERA and AWS)
If your organization is tired of the same old Windows Server refresh cycles and wants to modernize file services while ensuring the highest levels of IT security, this Carlyle Group webinar is for you. The Carlyle Group replaced legacy file servers around the world with cloud storage gateways that IT can centrally manage and that allow users the same file access experience they have always enjoyed – all while enabling the use of private, scalable, and cost-effective AWS S3 storage.
