I am pleased to announce that CTERA has signed a global agreement with Seagate Technology, the world’s leader in mass data storage infrastructure solutions.

Seagate has recently launched a new cloud storage service called Lyve™ Cloud from Seagate® Technology. Lyve Cloud is a simple, trusted, and efficient storage as a service offering. Long-term cost predictability means one is never surprised by the cloud bill. The data is put to work with always-on availability, world-class security, and cloud flexibility. For more details, visit the Seagate website here.

As organizations continue to modernize their IT infrastructures, many are looking to move more data from the data center out to the cloud. In addition, more data is being generated from the edge from mobile and IoT devices to work from home employees that may not ever return to a corporate office. Migrating to the cloud needs to provide the same levels of security and performance as users expected when they were in the office. Cost-saving is one of the biggest drivers to moving to the cloud, and having predictable pricing simplifies the budgeting process.

We see this collaboration with Seagate as a major milestone in delivering a simple cost-effective, highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud storage solution for organizations looking to manage data from the edge to the cloud.  We worked closely with Seagate to officially certify our Enterprise File Services Platform on Seagate’s cloud.
