Configuring Desktop Integration Settings
To configure desktop integration settings
1 Open the CTERA Agent Manager:
As an administrator, in the Configuration tab, select Local Backup > CTERA Agents > <Agent> Manage.
Or,
As an end user, in the My Computers tab, click Manage next to the desired CTERA Agent's name.
Note: End users can manage their own agents only if the administrator enabled the Allow end users to configure the agent option.
2 Click the Desktop Integration tab.
3 Configure desktop integration as desired:
a Overlay icons on files and folders. Select this option to overlay CTERA backup icons on files and folders in Windows Explorer.
Files and folders that are selected for backup are overlaid with the icon in Windows Explorer. Folders for which only part of the contents are selected for backup are marked with the icon.
b Show notification on backup start. Select this option to display a pop-up notification above the CTERA Agent tray icon when backup starts.
c Show notification on backup end. Select this option to display a pop-up notification above the CTERA Agent tray icon when backup ends.
d Show notification on backup fail. Select this option to display a pop-up notification above the CTERA Agent tray icon when backup fails.
