CTERA Achieves AWS Digital Workplace Competency Status

September 30, 2020– New York – CTERA, the edge-to-cloud file services leader, announced today that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Digital Workplace Competency status. This designation recognizes that CTERA has demonstrated deep experience helping customers build a digital workplace on AWS to free end users from the office, allowing them to work securely on virtually any device, from anywhere, at any time.

The AWS Digital Workplace Competency helps customers find highly specialized AWS Partner Network (APN) Partners offering solutions on AWS that help them effectively support remote workers and business continuity with end-to-end Digital Workplace in the cloud. APN Technology Partners achieving this newly unveiled AWS Competency provide features that help reduce security risks and meet compliance requirements while allowing customers to effectively support remote workers and implement business continuity plans.

Achieving the AWS Digital Workplace Competency differentiates CTERA as an APN member that possesses deep domain expertise in one or more of the following core categories – Endpoint Management, Application Management, and/or Collaboration Platforms.

“We are proud to work with AWS to set the pace for universal file access and collaboration in the post-COVID-19 era,” said Oded Nagel, CTERA Chief Strategy Officer. “Achieving the AWS Digital Workplace Competency is reflective of our continued investment in global file system technology that extends corporate file systems to the edge and ensures users remain fully productive and secure in WFH environments.”

AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.

An AWS Storage Competency Partner since 2014, CTERA unifies enterprise file services and leverages AWS’s scale and economics, allowing distributed organizations to replace aging NAS infrastructure with a cloud-native global file system.

With the COVID-19 pandemic accelerating remote work adoption and making low-latency, secure file access a corporate priority, CTERA allows customers to support effectively any physical or virtual desktop infrastructure requirement while optimizing storage costs and user productivity.

CTERA facilitates a global file system for Amazon WorkSpaces, a managed and secure Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution, to enable high-performance file access and collaboration for users wherever they are. For physical laptop users, access to the global file system is presented as a local drive on the user’s machine. In both deployment models, the user experience is familiar and frequently accessed files reside locally for optimal productivity and performance.
