The migration process is designed to minimize downtime. It begins with a discovery pass to produce filesystem analytics, followed by a series of delta migration passes. When ready for cutover, the migration source shares are transitioned to a read-only state during off-hours. A final quick delta migration pass is then performed, and user access to the CTERA-based destination shares can be enabled, ensuring minimal downtime.
How can I ensure the validity of the migration?
The migration process includes a verification step that compares file hashes to ensure data integrity. Additionally, a migration report is provided with those hashes, offering a fully regulatory-compliant chain of custody, giving you confidence that the migration is accurate and complete.
