Both license types offer the same functionality.
Virtual gateways do not include a license. The gateway must connect to the CTERA Portal to obtain a license to function, as well as to obtain CTERA Drive Protect or CTERA Drive Server licenses.C200/400/800/800+ gateways: CTERA Agent licenses are taken from the licenses included in your gateway. Licenses that exceed the number included in your gateway are taken from the quotas allocated to your CTERA Portal account. A license is taken for as long as an agent is defined in your gateway. If you are no longer using an agent, you can delete the agent from the gateway, as described in Deleting Agents from the Agents List.|
