Obtain Security Credentials When Not Using IAM

To obtain an access key when not using IAM

1. Log in to your Amazon Web Services account.
2. In the upper-right corner of the screen, click your account name, and then click Security Credentials.

   The Your Security Credentials page appears.

3. Expand the Access Keys section.

   The Access Keys section is displayed.

   

4. Click Create New Access Key.

   A confirmation message appears.

5. Click Yes.

   A new access key is created. It is displayed in the Your Access Keys table.

6. Copy down the Access Key ID.
7. In the access key's row, click Show.

   The secret access key is displayed.

8. Copy down the Secret Key.
