XFS File Systems
The gateway supports XFS file systems, enabling you to create volumes greater than 16TB for large branch offices and for gateways residing in datacenters.
The XFS file system is supported on both physical and virtual gateways.
When using XFS, the following conditions apply:
XFS does not provide a snapshot mechanism. You cannot use the gateway to backup CTERA Agents to an XFS volume.Open files are not backed up during cloud backup. XFS volumes cannot be shrunk. CTERA recommends starting with the required storage and then increasing the storage when using XFS rather than starting with a large storage which cannot be decreased.XFS cannot be converted to or from NEXT3 or EXT3.
