Back up the CTERA Portal Database Server(s)

Perform this step on the main database server and on any catalog node servers (if there are any) to make sure you have a backup of the main database.

To back up the CTERA Portal database server(s)

1. Open an SSH session to the main database CTERA Portal server and log in as root.
2. Run the following command:

   ctera-storage-util.sh take_snapshot

3. Open an SSH session to each catalog node server (if applicable and run the same command (see previous step).
